What is the Faye app?
It’s our approach to tech-driven travel coverage and care. The Faye app enables you to purchase travel insurance, manage your trip, file claims, receive quick reimbursements and ask our Customer Experience Specialists for tips and assistance 24/7. It also provides destination-specific info – from the weather to visa requirements to which local apps to download.
How does it work?
Our app, available on iOS or Android, goes where you go and boasts cutting-edge technology.
Simply download the app and add your travel and personal details to get covered for your trip in as little as 60 seconds. Then continue to explore all it has to offer.
In-app experience
Once you cover your first trip with Faye Travel Protection, you will have access to the many features of our app. This includes real-time notifications and alerts on flight delays, cancellations, gate changes and even what carousel your bags are arriving at.
In the app, you can:
- See your policy coverage breakdown.
- Add your flight details so we can update you about delays, cancellations, flight and baggage details and more–pre-trip and in-trip.
- View essentials like destination emergency numbers, local medical assistance info and more.
- Access a network of 20K telemedicine doctors when traveling abroad.
- See your destinations’ weather, local music, apps to download, visa requirements, plug types and a handy currency converter.
- File a claim easily. Just upload your documents to the app and we’ll aim to review everything in 48 hours. You can also view their status here.
- Access Faye Wallet, our secure digital card that gives you the ability to get reimbursed to your phone on common travel inconveniences and approved claims. Once you receive funds, add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use it to tap and pay for things you need, rather than paying out of pocket.
- Head to the Trips tab to view past, current and upcoming trip details.
- Head directly to the Chat tab to chat with our team 24/7 about anything and everything – from changing a policy to where the nearest ATM or pharmacy is, and everything in between.
- Click on your Profile to see how many days, trips and miles you’ve traveled with Faye, and upload a personal photo to add to your account.
- And of course, you can protect more trips via the Faye app and share Faye with friends and family!
How can I best prepare for my trip with Faye?
We have essential features on the app home screen to help you do just that. They include:
- Prepare for your trip: Within this tab, you’ll find information on your destination’s visa requirements, vaccine mandates, health notices and even the type of plug/outlet used there.
- Emergency numbers: Yup, it’s exactly as it sounds. We put all the local emergency contacts in one place, so you don’t have to spend time looking them up. Included are the numbers for police, ambulance, U.S. Embassy and of course, Faye’s customer experience team there to support you around the clock.
- Medical assistance: It’s not always the easiest to find a local pharmacy, so we did the heavy lifting for you. Find information about nearby pharmacies and file a medical claim directly within this tab.
Our other features include:
- Weather: Think of this like your own personal meteorologist within the Faye app. Get a quick glimpse of the current weather or tap for a full 7-day forecast. If you’re curious about the conditions in another location–maybe the one you’re headed to next–just use the search bar on the bottom.
- Local music: Get in the local rhythm of your destination with the top songs, playlists and podcasts from the area you’re visiting, all streamable directly through Spotify.
- Local apps: We made sure to give you the deets on apps you should download to travel like a local. Whether it’s the food delivery service or their version of Uber, we’ve got you covered.
- Currency converter: It’s never fun to travel somewhere where you don’t understand how much things cost. And sometimes it’s hard to find the correct conversions on the internet. We feel your pain, and that’s why we made this available directly in our app. Just plug in the amount of money you’re looking to convert, and the dollar equivalent amount will instantly appear. No more guessing on how much that croissant was you just got in Paris.
